Azaleas and Butterflys: Calloway Gardens

Ms. Pat asked Mama and Julia if we wanted to go see Callaway Gradens.  Azaleas are in full bloom.  Mama and Ms Pat had their allergery medicine.  Julia took her Nasonex.  Away we went.  Ms Pat drove.  It was fun.  She even had videos built into her car.  Windows were some tinted.  Made for  a pretty easy ride.
We walked around the Azalea Trail.  They also have an Azalea Bowl.  (Mama said that was not the same as place you would see football players play.
The flowers were BEAUTIFUL!!  It was a perfect place to go after spending a week talking about speing and flowers in school.

 This was a prime picture spot.  Julia was so sad that she had to tunr around for a picture.  She wanted to keep looking at the beauty.

 We ate lunch.  Took a scenic route ride.  Then, off to the Butterfly house.  They were gorgeous. 

 It is not everyday a butterfly lands on our stroller. 

What a gorgeous place to visit this time of year.  Looking forward to more Azalea bowls in the years to come!!!!

Seven Months Forever Family

Spring is here.  Our azaleas are blooming.  Pollen is everywhere.  Vacations are being planned.  After a winter of Julia's surgeries and Daddy's health stuff, we are so ready for some FUN!!!!

 SEVEN MONTHS.  Time has flown.  We barely can remember life before.  Looking forward to every day as our forever family.

 WE LOVE YOU-JULIA!!!!

The First TWO weeks of being TWO...

Julia has been determined to get her own shoes on for a while now.  At TWO, she is there.

 Julia was not to sure about her Disney tent.  At TWO, she loves it!! 

Sometimes, she will even let Daddy visit!

.Since Julia's palate is healed, she is now ready to learn how to blow bubbles. Goggy tried to show Julia how to do it. At TWO, she wants to try to do it

The second week of being TWO was crazy busy.  Mama worked LONG hours to support a upgrade at work.  Daddy had lots more to do with Julia than normal.  While Mama was at work, Julia had four vaccines on Monday, speech on Tuesday and a LONG day at school on Wednesday.

Mama, Daddy and Julia went to the hospital on Thursday morning at 5am for Julia's EAR TUBE surgery.  She was NOT happy about this surgery at all.  OF course, she is MUCH smarter now that she is TWO.  She was putting the same gown on that she had for her last surgery.  She definitely knew she was having surgery this time.  Her right ear tube was removed.  It was full of old blood.  A new one was placed.  The ENT also took a nice picture of Julia's palate repair.  It looks good to us!!  OF course, what do we know?

We were home by 9:45am.  Julia took almost a four hour nap.  She woke up a new little girl.  We went to eat dinner.  Then, stopped by Toys R Us for her to pick out something special for herself.  She carried the two pails around the store.  They had balls in them.  We went home with a waterproof doll for the tub to help us name body parts.

Blowing bubbles.  Practicing blowing out candles.  Sucking out of straws.  Julia and Mama went to Walmart on Saturday morning to stock up on boxed drinks, straws and a bunny cup.  Julia has been dying to use a straw way before her palate repair.  Mama is working with Julia daily on using a straw.  She is SO determined.  She does get frustrated.  OF course, she is TWO.

Julia likes to pick out her own bow.  Of course, she is now TWO.

On a special note, these chinese dolls are 45 years old.  They were given to Julia by a special friend.  They are now displayed on her dresser.  That would be because she is now TWO.

At the end of another long day being TWO, Julia sips her Yohoo drink while having yet another tea party.  The life of being TWO....

Two Year Old Birthday Party

Julia had a Family Cupcake Tea Birthday Party today to celebrate her second birthday.  This was the first birthday celebrated with her forever family.

Caleb pulled Julia, the birthday girl, around in her make shift float.  She waved around every corner.

Time for dumplings.  The Cupcake Tea was consisted of Julia's favorite foods-chinese dumplings, cupcakes and ice cream.

 Time for cupcakes.  Everyone sang  "Happy Birthday".  Julia just smiled.

 Julia tried to blow out the candles.  Mama helped her.

 

 Julia would eat a bite of cupcake.  Then, she would want another.  She just liked the color and rings.

After a bite of a few cupcakes, Julia wears it well.

 She got dress up gear!!  Julia got in the bag after taking out all the famcy shoes.

Julia also got really pretty bracelets from Goggy and Pappy.  She is wearing them everywhere.

 A purse!!!  Julia loves it.  She put all her jewels in it.

 The party came to an end.  Julia had a great time.  Julia sat on her float.

 A little more relaxed.  I would say that Julia enjoyed her party.
