Happy 2nd Birthday, Julia!!

Today is Julia's 2nd birthday.  She started her day out with breakfast with Daddy.  She arrived at School to meet  a special person in her live, her Speech Therapist.  Every Tuesday at 11am, Julia, Mama and Daddy will meet with Ms. Dawn.  Even when Julia was out of school, she came to our house.  After some fun toys with Ms Dawn, Julia went to class.

This was Julia's first big week back to class.  Not only was she back to school, she moved from Toddler 1 to Toddler 2.  She is in a big girl class.  There are more kids in her class.  She also has new teachers.  Her birthday was her second day in this class.  So, we brought some gogurt sticks for everyone to help celebrate Julia's birthday.

 After school and work, Mama, Daddy and Julia went to eat dinner.   Daddy gave Julia a birthday kiss.

Since Julia is now off her soft diet, we went for mexican food. Julia had a soft taco. She enjoyed it. She always wants the food off everyone elses plate. It just must look better.  (She did NOT eat all this food.)

 
 At home, we just played on the driveway for a bit.  Notice the tongue sticking out.  We see that alot now.  When your palate is closed, there is not as much room in your mouth for your tongue.  It is just taking some getting use to.

 STOP!!  Do not go in the street.

 Thank goodness she still listens.  Of course, she is 2 now.

 Julia picked out banana pudding for her special dessert.  Two candles!!

 Since  Julia's surgery, we are still working on learning how to blow.  Blowing these candles out is something that she has never been able to do.  That is why we have stocked up on every blow item there is-bubbles, horns, whistles, etc.  Pappy and  Goggy stopped by for a minute just to see her on her birthday.  Pappy was trying to help her.

 She was so happy when they were finally blown out.

After a little more playtime, Julia ended her day with a good night sleep.

We are having a Family Cupcake Tea Party on Saturday.  More to look forward to for our sweet girl.
 

On this special day, Mama and Daddy think even more about how much your birth mom in China loved you.  We are so grateful to her for loving you so.  At the time due to things not her control, she could not take care of you.  We pray for her everyday. 

We will never know what you did on your first birthday. From now on, your forever family will always be with you on your birthday.

Happy Second Birthday, sweet Julia!!!
