After the build up of the holidays and our family emergency last weekend, we deemed it STAY AT HOME weekend. Julia was so happy to just stay at home. First thing on Saturday morning, she put her black patent Mary Janes on and they only came off for her bath. She even napped with them on.
One thing about staying at home is that you become one with your own toys. Julia, Mama and Daddy had a great time!!
Julia found her medical kit and gave her Baby some medication drops. She was so excited!
Julia found her purse that was bought in China. She also loaded up her bag with Baby's bottles and medical kit. She found her sweet friend-"Audrey" sitting on her chair. She yapped to her a little.
"Look, Mama!! My long lost friends from the Cabbage Patch kids home-MoMo the Monkey."
Julia decided that Baby needed a stroller ride.
She loaded herself up with bags. Then, walked her dear Baby.
Julia's purse strap kept slipping off her arm. Walking with all this stuff is a little harder than it looks.
"Mama, Momo is sticking out of my bag. Please push him in and zip him up!!!"
Mama showed Julia a pair of light up shoes that she has for her to wear soon. Mama thought Julia would want to try them on. NOOO!! She wanted Baby to wear them.
Finally, Julia figured a way to keep them on her feet. These
Sunday morning!!! Mam finally cleaned out under the kitchen island. Julia realized that she could sit in it.
She was patting the spot next to her which is her cue to sit by me. UHHH!! We had to explain that Mama or Daddy could fit in the island with her.
Daddy!!Please give me a blueberry!!! Can't you see my tongue has nothing on it. OK, my face is full of yogurt.
Since Julia had fleece footie jammies, she could not wear her mary janes this morning. Instead, it was all about the bibs. She wanted to wear four!!! All morning!!! She did not want to take them off all morning!! She even worked in her own kitchen with them on. She looks like she needs some coffee in this picture. Ha!
Play-Doh time!!! Yippee!! Finally, the bibs came off. Julia thought they were getting in her way.
Went from cutting play-doh to stacking cups.
Gogs and Paps came over for a visit. Julia wanted Gogs to wear her shoes.
Hmm. They just won't stay on her feet either!!
Had an awesome dinner where Julia ate the Green Bean casserole that Aunt Neen brought over. Yummy!! She licked the plate clean. It took two forks to get it all.
We had much needed downtime. It was great to spend time as a family. Julia is just growing up so quickly. We just love our sweet girl!!
