After our Readoption, we decided to do a quick clothing change and head to the mall. Time to see Santa!!! Julia has been learning all about him. She loves to hear his stories. We have a big Santa at our house as a decoration. She points to him. We thought that she might be ready to finally meet him face to face.
Julia walked in with confidence to see Santa. She followed the red carpet.
Julia's first glimpse of Santa. Hmmmm. Interesting.
She walked up to wait in line.
Then, she spotted Daddy. Daddy had the camera. She seemed to look a little worried at that moment.
Mommy explained again-Santa is a nice man who visits every year. He brings presents to little girls and boys. Mommy did notice that she started putting her fingers in her mouth. First sign that she is a little anxious.
We waited in this awesome, short line.
There he is!!! Santa!! He is real!!
Mommy and Julia are next.
Mommy assures Julia that she will be ok. This man is Santa. The man we have read all the stories about.
Julia did not like sitting in this nice man who brings you presents lap one bit. She cried and cried.
She was so relieved to get out of his lap. She held onto the book he gave her. Mommy explained that we will probably see him alot more this year. He really is a nice guy. You will like him more later. She was ok with that.
We headed over to the soft play area. She started feeling better about everything again.
After some hard play, she just hung out for a while with Daddy.
Good Bye, Santa!! We can't wait to see you next time!!!!

What a beautiful Christmas dress Julia has on. Perhaps she was expecting Santa to be in his red and white suit! We had to bribe Cody, our grandson, with mini M*&M's. That was the only thing to keep him quiet enough to get pictures. As long as he had them in his hand, he was okay. MEMORIES!!!!!
how sweet that was, and she looked so pretty in her little red dress! I loved seeing her walk on her own before she spotted him. priceless photos!

You are SO brave to meet Santa for the very first time. Don't worry, when I was a little girl, I was afraid of him, too! But guess what? Now I STILL get excited to see him!!!
