Christmas 2008/Happy Birthday, Jeff!!

My mom is still in the hospital. I am with her now. I stay with her during the night. We live in such a want it now world. We want our mom well now!!! The doctors are telling us it will just take time. We wait. We hold onto every small improvement.

Jeff comes in early every morning. Dad stays during the daylight hours. Jeff made us egg taco cups and cinnamon rolls for a Christmas breakfast. Today is also Jeff's birthday. I gave him his present in mom's hospital room. We stayed all morning.

Just to take a break, Jeff and I went to my sisters for lunch. Then, my sister and her family and Jeff and I went back to the hospital. We took my mom down to the cafeteria when not many people were there. We brought food for my parents to have a Christmas lunch. She was also able to see the boys. They were so excited about her wheelchair. Since it was over sized, we put the two boys in it with my mom. I wheeled them around for a while.

Now, it is quiet. She is resting quietly. I pray that tomorrow she will feel even better.
We will have our "typical Christmas celebration" which includes of Chinese takeout and presents on a later date. Of course to us, the best present will be to have our mom home and well!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!!
